Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robotic vacuum cleaners and mops are a great method of quickly cleaning up mess. The top robot vacuums and mops that I tested had great navigation and mapping. They picked up Cheerios and fake dog turds as well as tangled wires.
You can also schedule cleaning chores using an app and track their progress.
- Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the most efficient robot mop and vacuum. It has the latest features. This high-end vacuum is fast and agile and picked up pet hair and human dander nearly flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It has a sleek app interface that includes an interactive map of your home, as well as buttons on the screen for manual control.
The S8's Dirt Detection Technology enables it to adjust the cleaning mode based on dirt levels. It will pause and wash its mopping pad more often when it encounters dust while prioritizing carpeted areas to be mopped with a damp pad.
It comes with a range of other smart features too, including an alternative dock that connects to your home plumbing to wash and clean the mop without requiring you to refill it manually. You can even use voice commands with the S8's built-in voice assistant that can be activated by saying "Hey Rocky" to specify room cleaning, modes, and granular controls using just your voice.
- Yeedi Cube
If you're looking for a hands-free robot vacuum that has mopping capabilities the Yeedi Cube is one of the more versatile choices. It's one of many combo robot vacuums with mopping features that are also available at a lower cost than the competition.
As with most robovacs the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it started. This involves establishing an app account and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once you've done that, the machine will start vacuuming and mops effortlessly.
It's important to note that the mapping process can take some time and it could require a few attempts before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate picture of your space. The object detection is also hit-and-miss. It was able skirt around furniture and other obstacles, however, it got stuck on a looser rug with tassels, and had to flip over to get it out of the way. These are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube remains a great option for those looking for an appliance that can do all of the above.
- Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features an inclination that is similar to hand scrubbing, which results in floors that are truly cleaned, not just cleaned. And its detachable stick vacuum is a game changer that allows you to reach spots even robot vacuums can't.
This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with a slightly higher suction power of 8700Pa and other intelligent features. The RGBD sensor upgrade can be used to learn your home's environment and provide the ability to avoid obstacles in a dynamic manner. The app's smart feature allows you to modify a range of settings including AI cleanings and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping and has both the robot vacuum as well as the mop returning to their charging base after each job to wash their pads, empty their dust bins and place debris into bags that self-seal. This helps keep the system clean and prevents allergens from returning to the system. The battery's life is enough to clean large areas without needing the battery to be charged mid-clean.
- Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the more top-quality robot vacuums and mop models that we have reviewed, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the money. It has powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a rotating floor brush for carpets and a fantastic obstacle avoidance. It also features a unique mopping method that utilizes a roller continuously misting with water to capture dirt and then deposit it into the dirty water tank.
Its navigation technology performed well and was able to navigate close to walls without falling and avoiding steps. However, it had trouble with fine-grained debris and was not always able to clear raised room thresholds. Its operating noise is also high, which suggests it could be less of a "set-and-forget" model than other models.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, has a docking systems that allow it to refill its clean water tank, empty the dust bin, wash and dry the mop, and then empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance simple and lets the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors according to a regular schedule. Eufy's app lets you manage all the functions. It provides a clear overview with plenty of configuration options.
- Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is among the top mowers and vacuums on the market. It offers impressive vacuuming and mopping results. Its LIDAR mapping sensor can detect furniture legs and other obstacles with good precision, and the app lets users fine-tune map coverage, create no-go zones, and customize cleaning preferences. The main roller brush of the Freo is also designed to stop hair from wrapping around it, which can be a major issue with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too, with Reuleaux triangular mop pads that spin at 180 RPM and apply up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system is also equipped with intelligent carpet detection, which lifts the pads up when they're close to soft surfaces to prevent contamination of them.
The docking station acts as an unmanned maintenance center that is able to wash and dry the mops, and refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station also features integrated dust processing that compacts dust for seven weeks of maintenance-free operation, unlike traditional robot vacuums that empty their bins of dust every time they are emptied.
- S10
A few hundred dollars more than the S8, this robot does a bang-up job at keeping my home office tidy and is able to tackle the corners of my tiny apartment. It uses laser mapping system and camera to create a 3D-map of your home so it knows what to avoid. It has an object/obstacle detector that will stay clear of things like dog bowls and toys (but not the poop) unlike most vacuums.
It has other great notable features, like a self-emptying dustbin and a mop pad self-washing and able to adjust the temperature of water and a side-reaching brush that is able to reach places that other mops don't. You can also set cleaning schedules in the app and set custom the settings for each room in your home.
It comes with the same multi-room smart mapping as the S8 and can differentiate between carpets and laminate with high-pile carpets. It can also avoid mopping rooms that are not clean if you want to reduce time. It's a great option when you have a mix of flooring in your home and do not want to invest the money to buy a Roborock with advanced mapping features.
- Q5 Pro
If you're looking to find a multi-functional robot vacuum and mop that is able to handle regular maintenance and touch-ups on messy messes that are wet, this robot is a great choice. It comes with a variety of features like the ability to empty the dustbin on its own and an additional water refill dock, and adjustable settings in the app. It's surprisingly quiet and can maneuver around furniture legs and socks effortlessly. It's not able to pick up the tangled tassels of rugs and it's battery drains slightly more quickly than other models in our tests.
With a price tag of less than $250 it's the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly device that packs powerful suction and useful automation into a sleek. It didn't do as well in our vacuuming and mopping tests as the more expensive Roborock S8MaxV Ultra however it performed very well overall. It also comes with a variety of cleaning modes to meet your needs, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet' mode for light debris to the more powerful 'Turbo' mode for rooms with carpet. It even has the ability to remove and reconnect its mop pads without getting your carpets wet.
- K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great two-in-one robot vacuum and mop for those who live in small spaces. It's extremely fast and quiet, and it can navigate tight spaces well. It's also extremely effective at removing pet hair off carpets.
It's smaller than many of its competition however it doesn't sacrifice features. It has a good amount of suction power and it is able to take a picture of any object it picks up (i.e., chew toys or socks, etc.)) and mark them as 'not found in the app to ensure that they won't be picked up during future cleanings. The photos are secured and are not connected to your account.
It is capable of vaccuming, but it isn't as good at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes you clip to the bot's bottom, and it basically drags them around the floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal models, which have water reservoirs and automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
